A few important reminders for families:

✅ Registration on BOUND must be completed before the first day of practice.

🏥 Activity Physicals:

An activity physical must be uploaded during registration. Physicals are valid for 2 years under Marshall Public Schools policy.

Peter Thor is the Southview Elementary Principal. He spends time with the students and makes sure they are taken care of academically, socially, and emotionally. As you can see in the picture, he prioritizes making sure that kids enjoy coming to school each day!

The Card Farmers of Marshall recently made a generous donation of cards to support our Middle School PBIS program. These cards are highly sought after by students, who can "purchase" them using Tiger Tokens earned by demonstrating our Tiger Traits: being Respectful, Responsible, and taking Pride in our school. We are grateful for this partnership in recognizing and reinforcing positive student behavior.

Shanda Walker, Community Engagement Coordinator for Marshall Public Schools will be hosting a Zoom session for local businesses to learn more about the Youth Skills Training (YST) Grant. The goal of the YST (Youth Skills Training) Program is to provide 16-18 year old student learners with safe, healthy, and meaningful paid work experience in high-growth, high-demand industries to assist our region in filling workforce gaps and retain local talent. Students will leave the program with: high school credits, paid experience, and an industry-recognized certification.

As a YST-approved school, Marshall Public Schools is working to add to our roster of YST approved employers in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Automotive, and Healthcare to provide the paid work experiences for our students.

This Zoom call will cover the benefits of the program for students, schools, and employers, as well as outline the steps taken to become a YST approved employer. A Q&A will be available after.

Tiffany Teske is the Assistant Principal at Park Side Elementary School. Mrs. Teske serves our youngest learners, and they set our students up for success as they navigate school for the first time. She is always a welcoming face for the students as they enter the school, and she prioritizes helping them navigate big emotions and create a positive learning environment.

Darci Love is the Principal at Park Side Elementary School. Darci handles different situations throughout the day to serve our Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and Preschool students and families. She has a special passion for teaching kids the foundation of reading, and we appreciate her dedication to build foundational skills for students, so they are set up for success in education.
