CoCoCWS The Community Warning System (CWS) is the all-hazard public warning notification system for Contra Costa County.

CWS is a partnership of government, industry, media, and the CAER group. The Community Warning System (CWS) is a comprehensive, integrated system for alerting people in Contra Costa County to imminent threats to their life or health. CWS capabilities include:
-Sirens near major industrial facilities and in other special safety zones
-Countywide telephone notification system
-NOAA Weather Radio
-Ra

dio, TV and cable via the federal Emergency Alert System (EAS)
-Cell phone notification service
-NEW Twitter alerts ~ Follow CoCoCWS

This is a message from the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff. Law enforcement officers are currently searching for a missing person believed to be in or near the Hilltop area of Richmond. Israel Joseph is an eighteen-year-old black male that is five feet, seven inches tall, and weighs approximately one hundred and forty pounds. He was last seen walking westbound along Santa Maria Road toward Rolling Hills Memorial Park. He has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray polo sweatshirt with a cross on the right breast and bluejeans.
Israel is believed to be at risk due to autism. If you see Israel, please contact the Sheriff's Office 925-646-2441.

This is a message from El Cerrito Police Department. As of 08:00 pm, there is currently law enforcement activity in Richmond near the El Cerrito border. People in the area near Canyon Trail Park and Key Boulevard are advised to LOCKDOWN IN THE NEAREST PLACE OF SAFETY. Go inside, close and lock all windows and doors. Stay off the phone and do not call 9 1 1 unless you need to report a life-threatening emergency. To report suspicious activity, contact El Cerrito Police. Stay indoors until you receive further official instructions.

This is a message from CONTRA COSTA COUNTY OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF. Law enforcement officers are currently searching for a missing person believed to be in the area of SHORE ACRES. RAY KNIGHT, is a 74 year old WHITE MALE, that is 6 FEET and 1 INCH tall, and weighs approximately 200 pounds. RAY KNIGHT was last seen at his home near ISLAND VIEW DRIVE at approximately 0930 hours. RAY KNIGHT has WHITE hair, and BROWN eyes, and was last seen wearing a RED 49ers shirt, GRAY shorts, and WHITE shoes.
RAY KNIGHT is believed to be at risk due to DEMENTIA.

Law enforcement officers are currently searching for a missing person believed to be in the area South of Highway 4 and East of Vasco Road near Byron Highway. Joe Teixeira , is an 82 year old WHITE MALE, that is , 6 feet and 3inches tall, and weighs approximately 138 pounds. Joe Teixeira was last seen near his home on Byron Highway. Joe Teixeira is bald, blue eyes, and was last seen wearing Red Flannel and Blue pants.
Joe Teixeira is believed to be at risk due to Alzheimer's .

As of 4:40 pm, due to a WILDFIRE between Morgan Territory State Park and Mount Diablo State Park, residents between Morgan Territory State Park and Mount Diablo State Park, also known as ZONES: CCC-249 and CCC-250 should PREPARE TO EVACUATE.

This is an EVACUATION WARNING. No evacuation has been ordered at this time, but it is possible one may become necessary. You should prepare now in case an evacuation is ordered. If you require additional time to evacuate, you should leave now. You will receive further instructions if an evacuation becomes necessary.
