🎉 One hundred years of library service calls for one extraordinary evening, and MBCPL and the Friends of the Martinsburg Public Library want to celebrate with YOU!
On Saturday, September 19th, the Martinsburg Public Library transforms into a Roaring Twenties Speakeasy for a night of live jazz, Charleston dance lessons, a piano bar, back-room gaming, amazing food by Brix 27, a silent auction, raffles, photo booths, and best attire awards, all in celebration of 100 years of serving our community.
Ticket sales close at midnight on September 4th, so do not wait! Grab your flapper dress, dust off your fedora, and join us for a night to remember. A centennial only comes around once!

*MPL & MSBCL* Teen Writing Club - Starting in September!

We will have two different groups this year at both Martinsburg and Musselman! Workshop your writing, explore new genres, freewrite, learn about publishing, and hone your skills. All writing forms welcome!

📅MPL: 3rd Wednesday of the month, 3:30pm-4:30pm, ages 11-18 yrs.
📅MSBCL: 2nd Wednesday of the month, 3pm-4pm, ages 13-18 yrs.

Play all kinds of videogames! Hop on the Nintendo Switch to play with others or bring your own device to play solo and just hang. It’s up to you! Snacks provided. Ages 13-18 yrs.

Teen Art Club returns in September!

Art Club will be hosted at Martinsburg Public Library on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM, and at Musselman-South Berkeley Community Library on the first and third Thursday of each month at 3:30 PM.

Anyone ages 11 to 18 are welcome! Come prepared to potentially get messy!

*MPL & MSBCL* Anime & Manga Club - Happening at both Martinsburg and Musselman this year, starting in September!

If you love anime and/or manga and want to hang out with fellow teen fans, join us for Anime & Manga Club! We’ll watch anime together, eat snacks, talk about our faves, draw and craft, and do themed activities. Ages 13-18 yrs.

The two locations will do the same activities each month, so pick whichever one works best for you!

📅MPL: 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month, 4pm-5:30pm
📅MSBCL: 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month, 3:30pm-5pm

North Berkeley Library

Preschool water play day is Thursday, August 27 @ 10:30am. Bring a swimsuit and a towel. In case of bad weather, we will be moving indoors and playing with play dough.
A reminder that regular storytimes start next week! Baby storytime is Tuesdays at 10:30am and Preschool storytime is Thursday at 10:30am

*MPL* Teen Book Club - Starting September 1st!

Read the month’s book pick before the meeting, talk about it with others, and do related activities like games and crafts! Get the book for the next meeting at the Children’s Circulation Desk. Ages 13-18 yrs. NOTE: The very first meeting in September there won't be a book! You can get to know each other, talk about what you like in books, and get the book to read for October's meeting.
