Are you interested in being a member of the 2026 NMS Cheer Squad? If so, there are Flex days and parent meeting coming up!

Flex Days will be July 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 and August 3, 5, 10, 12, 24, & 26 from 6:00-8:00PM! ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT SPORTS PHYSICAL (dated after 5/1/26) TO ATTEND & TRYOUT. Physicals can be turned in to the coach.

There is a MANDATORY parent meeting on August 31st at 6:00PM in the cafeteria for the parents of students interested in trying out for the team. Tryouts will be September 8, 9, & 10 in the NMS gym from 6:00-8:00PM. The parents of students who make the team will be required to attend another mandatory meeting on September 11 at 6:00PM in the NMS Cafeteria. We can't wait to see what's in store for this year's squad! GO BLUE DEVILS!

All interested upcoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students interested in playing boys basketball are invited to conditioning this week, July 6, 8, or 10th from 3-5PM! Hope to see you there!!

Still thinking about trying out for NMS cheerleading? Cheerleading conditioning resumes today! We’re excited to see some new and familiar faces this evening. 💙

On the last day of school, students with perfect and faithful attendance were invited to our first annual Attendance Arcade, with a separate celebration for each grade level. The arcade celebrated the achievement of students that intentionally put effort into being with us all school year, and on time, including 11 students with perfect attendance for the entire school year! Students played games, enjoyed ice cream, and left with a promo card for a food or drink item in our community. Certificates of their accomplishments were also given. Special shoutout to the Eastern WV Community Foundation for the Teacher Mini Grant, Martinsburg Chick-Fil-A for your consistent support of our attendance efforts, the NMS Attendance Committee for your hard work to decrease chronic absenteeism, to our students that helped run the event, and obviously to our students that earned the event. We already have ideas and goals for next year and are looking forward to it! Enjoy your summer!
