🦆 Explore the nature trail, learn easy ways to support wildlife at home, & complete a scavenger hunt for a chance to win a wild prize.

🐝Stop in anytime between 6:00-8:00 PM, then wrap up the night around the campfire with s’mores, stories, & time to relax in the woods.

🐍 Don't forget your boots! Although the rain is ending soon, the trail is a bit muddy in spots.

🌎 Conservation Starts with Education

During Conservation District Week, we’re highlighting the role conservation districts play in connecting people with the natural resources around them.

From classroom programs and teacher resources to workshops, field days, and community events, conservation districts help people of all ages learn about soil, water, wildlife, and sustainable land use.

By building knowledge and awareness today, we help create the next generation of conservation leaders and informed stewards of our natural resources.

Because when people understand the land and water around them, they’re more inspired to protect it. 🌱💧

Happy Conservation District Week! 🚧

🚧 Protecting Streams Starts at the Source

During Conservation District Week, we’re highlighting the important work conservation districts do to prevent erosion and sediment pollution.

When soil washes off construction sites or disturbed land, it can end up in nearby streams, harming water quality and aquatic life. Conservation districts help review permits, provide technical guidance, and conduct site visits to ensure proper erosion and sediment controls are in place.

These efforts help keep soil where it belongs—on the land.

Behind the scenes, district staff and volunteer directors are working every day with contractors, developers, and communities to prevent pollution before it reaches our streams.
