Power outage update: we have requested a formal explanation from National Grid but they were not able to supply full power to our substation earlier. Since they were only able to provide half power, power was shut down until they were able to provide full power again. Once we have a formal explanation, I will share. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and support. - MMLD

🚨Pet Parents..... the 4th of July Celebration is just under a week away and as many of us know, along with that comes fireworks.

🎆 Friday, July 3rd there will be fireworks in Haverhill @ Riverside Park.
🎇 Saturday, July 4th there will be fireworks in Amesbury @ Woodsom Farm.

Hopefully many of you have already contacted your vet, if you have pets with anxiety.

If you check your dog’s collar and find your pets tag is missing, you can easily use painters tape or masking tape and a permanent marker to add your pets phone number and address to their collar.

This will help your pet to make its way back to you, should they run off and become lost.

Before the Fireworks Display:
🦮 Take your dog for a nice long walk and get lots of exercise.
🐾 Double check your fence, make sure there are no holes and the gates are closed.
🐾 Make sure your windows and doors are closed & secured properly.

During the Fireworks Display:
🐾 Close blinds and drapes.
🐾 Turn on the TV or Radio as a noise distraction.
🐾 Prepare a calm safe space (crate) for your dog, if needed.
🐾 If possible, don't leave your dog unattended.

Please report any lost or found pets to your local Animal Control Officer. If you live here in Merrimac, contact ACO DiCenzo at 978-891-0278.
