The teen prizes are WILD this year!!!

Summer Reading for Grades 7 - 12

Starting June 22nd at 10 AM, pick up a Reading Reward Card in the YA room. Mark off for each day you read at least 15 minutes. COMPLETE ONE REWARD CARD to earn a Hodgies GC & free book. EACH ADDITIONAL COMPLETED CARD earns an entry to win one of three big prizes: Gift certificate to Boda Borg or Nick’s Place in West Newbury, or a Bruins Game Benchwarmer Experience. The last day to turn in your completed log is August 7th. Registration is not required.

This Monday!!! Starting at 10:00 AM!!!

Pre-K to grade 2 - Pick up your Summer Reading log in the children’s room, beginning June 22nd. Once you have completed the log, bring it back to Trish or Tracy at the library and receive a Hodgie's Gift Certificate, a free book, and a small prize! The last day to turn in your completed log is August 7th. Registration is not required.

Grades 3 to 6 - Pick up your Summer Reading Bookmark in the children’s room, beginning June 22nd. Once you have completed the challenges, bring it back to Trish or Tracy at the library and receive a Hodgie's Gift Certificate, a free book, and a chance to win a gift card to Gametime, Dinoland Mini-golf, or a Private LEGO Party! The last day to turn in your completed log is August 7th. Registration is not required.

Nature Club is back for this one time program focused on the Owls of New England. This program is open to students ages 9-11. Funded by the Friends of the Merrimac Public Library. Registration opens on MONDAY, June 15th at 10 am for any summer programming that requires it, starting with Animal Adventures! In this one-hour program kids will meet 8-10 fascinating animals and learn all about them and their habitats. Ages 5+ only, please. Funded by the Friends of the Merrimac Library. Last year, this filled up in 90 minutes!
ADULTS (ages 18+) who register, will receive a link to a Google Form to gather more info about your preferences. Upon completion of your form, your specially curated package will be available for pick up, during library hours, beginning June 22. Each package will contain a library book checked out to you (chosen specifically for you based on your responses on this form), snacks, garden themed gift, nature craft and more!

BECAUSE THIS PROGRAM IS VERY POPULAR AND SPACE IS LIMITED, WE CANNOT ACCEPT REGISTRATIONS IF YOUR LIBRARY ACCOUNT IS NOT IN GOOD STANDING (LOST BOOKS OR FINES) OR YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR A PACKAGE IN PRIOR YEARS AND NOT PICKED UP.
