Clifford has left the building!!! 🐾

Based on that big ol’ Clifford smile, we think he is SO happy and ready to start his brand new life. No more shelter life for you, baby boy!

Not your average call for service. We received a call regarding an animal in a storm drain that sounded like a dog. On arrival, the animal looked like possibly a rat covered in mud and water. It was clearly crying and in distress. City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 was eager to help and lifted the drain cover so a net could be lowered down to scoop the animal up. It turned out to be an infant raccoon. The poor thing was freezing cold and a mess. We rushed her to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator where she got a warm bath and lots of care. We are hopeful that she will recover and be released when older. Thank you to everyone that helped this little one to have a chance. Every life matters 💗

Missing dog on the Meriden/Middletown line. Please SHARE!!!

Missing in Meriden. He is friendly but afraid of people. For the safety of the dog we ask if you see him do not call out, clap, chase, follow him or post his location. What you can do to help: Call the number immediately with the exact location: Provide the direction of travel; and describe his behavior at the time. He ran into woods, please keep a look out if you live anywhere in this area We had a sighting at Carroll park on the day he got lost. If your home is on the edge of these woods please check your security cameras He can pop out anywhere. We are not sure if he entered woods in this area or if he moved. The family misses him very much and appreciate your help. Please share.

Vaccinated
Although Clifford loves allllll the people, he is probably too much dog for little kids.
Cats peak his interest a little too much, so we will say no cats at this point.
