Our latest project, a new location for Linea Caffe, is now open on 18th Street!

Right next door to Bi-Rite Creamery and catty-corner from Dolores Park, the cafe features an amazing variety of offerings in this tiny space, beautiful exterior artwork by Leah Rosenberg,
and the parklet out in front that we also designed is coming soon.

A home in Bernal Heights we remodeled several years ago is for sale! These were great clients who let us design a wild kids’ bathroom, hide another bath behind a wall of closets, and put a tree in their stairway! See link in bio.

On this Labor Day, a quick break from architecture to share something about myself:

Contrary to what you might assume, I am named after Lincoln Steffens, a muckraking journalist and chronicler of city corruption at the turn of the 19th & 20th century.

He wasn’t a labor leader per se, but the thread running through his work was that capital buys government to the detriment of labor. Sound familiar?!

Our latest cafe design, for Linea Caffe ’s third location, is a tiny space on a very special stretch of 18th at Dolores, right next to Bi-Rite Creamery and just down the street from Bi-Rite Market | Bi-Rite Family of Businesses Delfina Restaurant Pizzeria Delfina Tartine Bakery and of course, Dolores Park. The project is in the home stretch and will be opening soon. Stay tuned!
