๐ŸšจTHIS JUST IN๐Ÿšจ
Tomorrow is Bike to Work Day in Colorado, and we just got news that helmet hair is officially "in" this season... so donโ€™t let your bike ride become a "hot" mess! ๐Ÿ”ฅ
We love seeing the community out and active, but weโ€™d much rather see you on the bike path following these safety tips than in the back of an ambulance.
๐Ÿ”ฆ Use lights + bright colors: If we canโ€™t see you, we canโ€™t wave at you.
๐Ÿช– Wear a helmet: It protects your brain (and saves us from doing paperwork).
๐Ÿ›‘ Obey traffic laws: Gravity and physics are undefeated.
๐Ÿ”ง Remember your ABCs: Check your

A = air (tires shouldn't feel like marshmallows)
B = brakes (if they scream, theyโ€™re crying for help)
C = chain (rusty is not a color choice)

Your safety is our priority, but your gear is your responsibility. Do your checks, buckle that helmet, and letโ€™s make this the safest Bike to Work Day yet. Stay safe, neighbors! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ

Happy Fatherโ€™s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandpas, and father figures in our community and in our department! ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿš’โค๏ธ
We want to send a sincere thank you to all the men on our crew who balance family life with answering the call to serve our community.

In honor of the day, we had to include a classic dad joke:

Q: How did the firefighter save the cat stuck in the tree?
A: He went out on a limb๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿˆ

All jokes aside, thank you to the families who support our crew, and to the shift keeping watch today. Have a wonderful, safe, and happy Sunday, everyone! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿš’

Join us in congratulating Firefighters Lee Fedel II, John Rowe-Stokes, and Josh Palmer on completing their probationary year!

Passing the "probie" year takes immense dedication, grueling training, and a deep commitment to protecting our community. These three have proven they have exactly what it takes to wear the FRFR badge with pride.

๐Ÿšจ HERO ALERT! ๐Ÿšจ
Not all heroes wear capes; some are just incredible friends who know exactly what to do when it matters most.

Last night, FRFR had the honor of recognizing four outstanding young men for their incredible quick thinking, bravery, and calm leadership during a recent emergency.

When things got tough, these four didn't hesitate. They sprang into action by:

๐Ÿ“ž Calling 911 immediately to get professional help on the way.

โค๏ธ Caring for their friend to keep him safe and comforted.

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง’ Quickly notifying the parents so they could be by his side.

Because of their quick action, their friend received the critical medical care he needed and is safe.

"You are a true hero and an incredible friend!" Fire Chief, Ryan Roberts exclaimed.

Please join us in giving a massive round of applause to these four hometown heroes! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Our community is incredibly proud of you.

Future first responders in the making? ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ–๏ธ

The station was full of great energy as we welcomed the Blooming Littles for a safety presentation. They spent their time learning about emergency safety and getting a firsthand look at our equipment

They absorbed the information so fast that weโ€™re pretty sure they are now the official safety managers of their respective households. Parents, prepare to have your smoke detectors and exit paths thoroughly audited! ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ“‹๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Thank you to the staff and kids for a fantastic visit!
