Library Closings for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

On Monday, January 18, 2021, Milwaukee Public Library's King Branch will host a day of special virtual programming to commemmorate the Civil Rights Movement and the life of the library's namesake, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. All other City of Milwaukee branches will be closed on January 18th, as will Brown Deer, Wauwatosa, and West Allis.

Virtual speakers including artist Charly Palmer, Dr. Terrence J. Local Libraries Need Your Help

From curbside checkout, digital materials, and Wi-Fi hotspots for internet access at home to computers, outdoor story times, and revised Summer Reading programs, MCFLS libraries have been working hard to provide as many services as possible this year. Has your library helped you engage with your community, stay educated, entertained, and informed, or assisted you in any other way? Please tell us about it!

We have a simple web form here for you to share any stories you have about your local library.

Personal stories can greatly impact funding decisions at a local and state level. We would be very grateful if you could share yours with us. Thank you!
