Amazing article about our Esteemed Executive Director Jody Rhodes and our the impact NeuVue will have.

Jody Rhodes, executive director of Neu-Life Community Development, recognized a common pattern in youth development programs — many young adults who had depended on them for the past 18 years are suddenly left without resources once they age out of the program.

To aid this, Rhodes is developing NeuVeu, a six-story apartment building for those exiting Neu-Life development programs. The building also has street-level commercial space, including businesses like Neu-Life's Farmfork Culinary School and Cafe that support young adults still looking to learn after finishing their programs.

Rhodes explained how fundraising is a long but rewarding process. "We're proud of our outcomes and our story, and now we're getting more and more well known in the fundraising circles, which we needed to get this project to the finish line," said Rhodes. "But the lesson learned is just you've always got to be out there telling your story, telling your impact."

NeuVeu's model is built on longevity, so it can support young adults in need for years to come. "That's super important for us, that Neu-Life will be around for the long haul because we're doing a self-sustaining social innovation project that can fund itself," said Rhodes.
