Next week, join us virtually for Coffee with Shauntay Nelson, the Wisconsin State Director of All Voting Is Local!

All Voting Is Local fights to remove discriminatory barriers to the ballot to achieve a democracy that works for us all. Prior to joining the campaign, Nelson was the Democracy Director at Wisconsin Voices where she worked with progressive organizations to ensure a greater impact of civic and voter engagement.

These intimate, members-only conversations are a great place to ask tough questions, network, and be inspired! Register here: http://www.ynpnmke.org/sept_2020

Wisconsin is looking for citizens to serve as poll workers for the November 3, 2020 election. Many of our veteran poll workers have to sit this one out, so Wisconsin is looking for younger citizens to step up! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic many Wisconsin cities, towns and villages are looking for extra volunteers to assist with running the election.

If you are interested, find your clerk by searching using your address here: https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/MyMunicipalClerk. Just click on their email address to send them a message with “Poll Worker Applicant” in the subject line with a few words about your interest and your contact information!

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to share your talents, build your resume, and support your local community?

The Greater Milwaukee Chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, in partnership with United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County's Project LEAD Program, is hosting a virtual board matching event for area nonprofits. Board candidates will have the opportunity to visit with representatives from nonprofit organizations of their choice, to determine whether they are interested in pursuing an opportunity to sit on their boards or committees.

In order to support the best possible matches, a short application is required for organizations as well as potential board and committee members.

Board Candidates: Registration is open August 10 - August 28, 2020. Click HERE to complete the individual registration application, once the registration period begins. Get on Board is free for participating individuals.
