✨ Back-to-School Checklist! ✨

The first day of school is almost here! Make sure you're ready for a successful start to the school year by checking off these important items:

✔️ Complete Registration – Make sure all enrollment forms and emergency contact information are up to date.

✔️ Gather School Supplies – Pack your backpack with everything you'll need, make sure to check your supply list. You can drop those supplies off for Meet the Teacher Day on August 21st

✔️ Get Ready for Success – Start adjusting bedtime routines, plan your mornings, and come to school rested, ready to learn, and excited for a new year!

Get Ready for SOHE Sports & Clubs!

As we get ready for the new school year, it's time to start preparing for our SOHE sports and activity clubs! We love providing opportunities for students to stay active, build confidence, develop teamwork, and have fun outside the classroom.

This year, we hope to offer:
🏀 Boys Basketball
🏐 Girls Volleyball
🏊 Swimming Lessons
🏃‍♀️ Girls on the Run

To participate, students must complete the following requirements:
✅ Current Doctor's Physical Form
✅ Parent/Guardian Permission Forms
✅ $45 Sports Fee

Please note: Our clubs are based on student interest and participation. If there are not enough students registered, a club may not be offered this school year. We encourage families to complete all requirements early so your child is ready to participate when sign-ups begin!

📚 Back-to-School Events Are Almost Here! 📚

As we prepare for another exciting school year at SOHE, here are a few important dates to add to your calendar!

📌 Orientation & Registration (Parents/Guardians Only)
👋 New Families: Wednesday, August 5 | 8:30–10:30 AM
🏫 Returning Families: Tuesday, August 11 | 8:30 AM–12:30 PM

Please note: Students do not need to attend these sessions.

During Orientation & Registration, families will:
✔️ Complete registration
✔️ Pay school fees
✔️ Receive important back-to-school information
✔️ Sign up for school programs and opportunities

🍎 Meet the Teacher Day
📅 Friday, August 21 | 8:30–10:30 AM

Bring your students to meet their teachers, visit classrooms, drop off school supplies, and get excited for the new school year!

As we get closer to August 1, watch your email for information about Skyward registration. If your child will not be returning to SOHE this school year, please notify our main office as soon as possible.

☀️ That's a Wrap on Summer School! ☀️

Last Friday marked the official end of Summer School at SOHE! Thank you to our amazing students, families, teachers, and staff for making it a fun and successful summer of learning and growth.

We're now busy preparing for an exciting new school year beginning at the end of August. Stay tuned to our social media for important dates, back-to-school information, and exciting updates—we can't wait to welcome everyone back!

☀️ Happy Fourth of July Weekend, SOHE Families! ☀️

As we near the holiday weekend, this is a friendly reminder that there will be no summer school tomorrow, Friday, July 3rd.

We hope all of our students and families are enjoying a fun, safe, and relaxing summer. We wish you a wonderful weekend filled with quality time, laughter, and special moments with your loved ones.

🌳 A Little Summer Fun at Burnham Park! 🌳

Over here at SOHE, we love our neighborhood—and that definitely includes Burnham Park! During the last two weeks of school, several classes and grades took advantage of the beautiful weather by walking a few blocks to the park for some well-deserved fun and fresh air.

Students enjoyed playing basketball, soccer, exploring the playground, swinging with friends, and cooling off in the splash area. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of a wonderful school year while making memories together!

We're so grateful to have such a great community space right in our neighborhood. Here's to sunshine, smiles, and summer adventures!

⚾ Let's Go Brewers! ⚾

During the last week of school, students showed the Brewers love by sporting temporary Brewers tattoos.

From big fans to future all-stars, our students had so much fun celebrating Milwaukee baseball and showing support for our home team. We love seeing our school spirit and city pride come together!

👔 Happy Father’s Day, SOHE Families! 👔

Today, we celebrate all of the incredible fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, uncles, guardians, and father figures who make a difference in the lives of our students each and every day.

Thank you for your love, guidance, encouragement, and support. Whether you're helping with homework, cheering from the sidelines, sharing life lessons, or simply being there when needed most, your impact is immeasurable.

We hope you enjoy a wonderful day surrounded by family, laughter, and the people who love you most. Thank you for all that you do for your children and our SOHE community!

🎓Once a SOHE Student, Always a SOHE Student 🎓

This week, all three floors of our building were filled with smiling students and staff as we lined the hallways to celebrate our graduating SOHE alumni. These graduates returned to the place where their educational journey began, walking the halls of the school they once called home before continuing on to our sister high school.

Many of these students were part of the SOHE family from K4/K5 through 8th grade, and it was an honor to welcome them back as high school graduates. We hope this heartwarming tradition continues for many years to come.

Congratulations, graduates! We hope you felt the love and encouragement from the SOHE community as you step into this exciting new chapter. You are role models for our current students and a reminder that with hard work, perseverance, and determination, anything is possible. We are so proud of you. Go be great! ✨
