Juneteenth is a moment to feel united. ✊🏾

During the celebration, our intern took the Mini Mic and asked community members to share one word that captures how Juneteenth makes them feel.

The responses were full of joy, pride, and gratitude, a reminder of how powerful this day is for Milwaukee.
Thank you to everyone who tapped in and shared your voice during the interview. Your words help tell the story of what Juneteenth means on King Drive.

Just as the festival brought energy up and down the corridor, we invite you to come back and support the incredible businesses on King Drive. Community thrives when we show up for one another.

Tap‑In Tuesday featuring Mini Mic Monday from our intern 🎤✨❤️🖤💚

This week, our intern Zoe tapped in with the Mini Mic and stepped inside the American Black Holocaust Museum to explore how its powerful storytelling connects to our Juneteenth Jubilee on King Drive.

What she discovered wasn’t just history; it was legacy, resilience, and truth. Through each exhibit, Zoe learned how preserves our stories, honors our ancestors, and continues to educate the next generation about the long journey toward freedom.

During the Jubilee, ABHM will host: Grab Your Slice of History from 12–3 PM, featuring:

-Local history moments that ground us in where we’ve been.
-Bingo with prizes for all ages
-Milwaukee Public Museum activities that make learning hands‑on and fun

Zoe left with a deeper understanding that Juneteenth isn’t just a date; it’s a celebration of freedom, community, and joy.

Juneteenth = Freedom. ✨

Tap in, learn, and celebrate with us on King Drive.

Last night, the creative heartbeat of Historic King Drive BID #8 was on full display as artists, entrepreneurs, and neighbors gathered at for an evening rooted in transparency, collaboration, and community dialogue.

The energy was warm, the ideas were flowing, and the spirit of King Drive’s creative future felt stronger than ever.

Together, we reflected on current successes, explored upcoming opportunities, and imagined what’s possible for the creative corridor, including the momentum building toward this year’s Bronzeville Art Walk.

The night wrapped with a lively karaoke and social hour, giving everyone space to connect, celebrate, and keep the conversation going.
