📈 Stability doesn’t just happen overnight. Looking at long-term trends helps reveal how Milwaukee’s child care system has shifted over time – and where providers may be facing greater strain. Even at a glance, it’s clear that Milwaukee’s stability rate is consistently lower than that of Wisconsin, pointing to a deeper level of instability within the city’s ECE sector. https://www.milwaukeesucceeds.org/blog/understanding-stability-in-ece

For families, stable child care means reliability. It means that children can maintain the trusted relationships they’ve built with their teachers and caregivers. And it means that parents can relax, knowing that their child’s program will still exist next month – or next year.

Child care is a critical issue for Wisconsin families, educators, employers and communities. That's why we're excited to help spread the word about the first-ever Child Care Gubernatorial Forum on July 19.

Six candidates for Wisconsin governor have committed to discussing their vision for child care and answering questions from the field:

• Mandela Barnes, Former Lieutenant Governor
• Joel Brennan, President of the Greater Milwaukee Committee
• David Crowley, Milwaukee County Executive
• Francesca Hong, State Representative
• Sara Rodriguez, Lieutenant Governor
• Kelda Roys, State Senator

Whether you work in early childhood education, rely on child care or care about Wisconsin's future, this is an important opportunity to hear directly from the candidates.
