Eighty years ago, the National School Lunch Act was signed, launching a nationwide commitment to ensuring all students have access to nutritious meals at school.

Today, Minnesota proudly carries that mission forward through the Free School Meals program, which has already served more than 300 million meals and counting. When students have the nutrition they need, they can spend more time learning, growing, and reaching their potential.
