🚑❤️ National CPR & AED Awareness Week | June 1–7 ❤️🚑

Every year, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals in the United States. When cardiac arrest strikes, immediate CPR and rapid access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can mean the difference between life and death.

During National CPR & AED Awareness Week, ProMed Ambulance encourages everyone to take a few minutes to learn a skill that could one day save a family member, friend, coworker, or even a stranger.

High-quality CPR can double or even triple a person's chance of survival, and AEDs are designed to be simple enough for anyone to use during an emergency. The sooner CPR is started and an AED is applied, the better the outcome.

At ProMed Ambulance, we are proud to support AED placement and preparedness throughout the communities we serve. We work with businesses, industries, schools, churches, and community organizations to improve access to lifesaving AEDs and provide the training needed to use them confidently.

Interested in learning CPR, obtaining certification, hosting a class, or discussing AED options for your organization? Our team at ProMed TEC is here to help.

A huge shout out 📣 to our amazing crew today for bringing Stop the Bleed to Missoula Electric Cooperative! (We even had 3 guest helpers who accompanied Mom to teach!)

Did you know that we provide this course for FREE. This is a class that was first founded after a mass casualty incident. While it offers valuable information for those scenarios, the knowledge gained can help you save a life in our everyday world!
If you are interested in bringing this class to your group, reach out, and let's set a date!
We also offer a wide variety of CPR classes!

Ask us about our CPR classes!

Tyson was 43 when his heart stopped during a guys’ weekend at a remote cabin. One of the friends called 911, while Max, a volunteer firefighter and trained emergency medical responder, started CPR.

After a week in the hospital, Tyson couldn't walk 10 feet or tie his shoes. Cardiac rehabilitation helped him get back to his old self.

"The doctors call my recovery a miracle, and in many ways, it was," Tyson said. "Without Max being there in my moment of greatest need, I simply wouldn't be here."

Saving a life with CPR doesn’t require any special training, just the willingness to act. Be ready by knowing the two steps of Hands-Only CPR: Call 911, then push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

Montana winters are no joke. Snow, ice, and low visibility make driving more dangerous for everyone, especially for our emergency responders working on the side of the road.

When you see flashing lights ahead:

🔹 SLOW DOWN – Reduce your speed immediately.
🔹 MOVE OVER – Change lanes if it’s safe to do so.
🔹 STAY ALERT – Watch for firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, tow operators, and highway crews working in hazardous conditions.

Emergency vehicles aren’t parked on the shoulder by choice, they’re there helping someone on what may be the worst day of their life. In winter conditions, stopping distances increase and visibility decreases, which makes it even more critical to give responders space to work safely.

A few seconds of caution could save a life.

Drive smart. Drive safe. Slow down and move over, Montana.

Always a pleasure working with these crews!
