As Child Support Awareness Month comes to a close, we recognize the important role child support services play in helping children and families thrive.
In Federal Fiscal Year 2025:
• 12 million children received child support services nationwide
• $29.3 billion in child support was collected
• 74% of payments were made through automatic paycheck withholding, helping provide reliable and consistent support
• $4.01 was collected for every $1 spent, making child support one of the most cost-effective federal programs
• 63 Tribal child support programs served 56,000 children while honoring Tribal values and cultures
• $617 million in medical support helped children access the care they need
Although Child Support Awareness Month is ending, our commitment to supporting families continues throughout the year.
