recently wrote an article about “Big fire, Big water” and what that actually means.

Many automatically grab a 2.5” with the goal of flowing somewhere between 240 - 265 GPM with a 1 1/8” tip flowing 40-50 PSI at the tip.

We all know 2.5” hoselines are heavy, bulky, and difficult to maneuver.

We have recently done a handful of demos with 2” hose.

In your hand it feels very similar to 1.75” hose, pairs perfectly with a 1 1/16” tip that flows 235 GPM at 50 PSI and can be manipulated/ maneuvered much easier than the bulky 2.5”.
