Take 15 minutes today and write it down. Choose a meeting place near home, another outside your neighborhood, and one out-of-town contact everyone can reach. Then make sure everyone has a copy.

☀️ Beat the Heat. Stay Safe. ☀️

Extreme heat is one of the deadliest weather hazards in the United States, and it doesn't take record-breaking temperatures to become dangerous.

Whether you're working outdoors, exercising, or spending time with family, a few simple precautions can make all the difference:

- Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
- Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
- Take breaks in the shade or an air-conditioned space.
- Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
- Check on older adults, neighbors, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to heat.
- Know the warning signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and seek medical attention immediately if someone shows signs of heat stroke.

Heat-related illnesses can develop quickly. Planning ahead and recognizing the signs early can help keep you, your family, and your coworkers safe.

🚨 Fraud Alert: Beware of Fake Navy Lodging Reservation Numbers 🚨

Planning PCS travel, TDY, or a vacation at a Navy installation? Be sure you're calling the correct reservation number.

NCIS is warning Department of the Navy personnel and their families about an ongoing scam involving a fraudulent phone number that closely resembles legitimate Navy lodging reservation numbers. Victims have unknowingly provided personal and financial information to scammers posing as reservation agents.

If you've used a questionable reservation service, contact the lodging facility directly to verify your reservation. If you believe you've shared financial information with a scammer, contact your bank immediately and report the incident through your chain of command or NCIS.

Stay vigilant, verify before you book, and help protect yourself and your fellow service members.
