Morehead State University Camden-Carroll Library Official page for Morehead State University's Camden-Carroll Library. Sen. Johnson Camden and former Gov. Julian M. Carroll. Barbour Room.

Built in 1931, expanded in 1965 and again in 1978, this five-story structure was named in honor of former U.S. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It encompasses the Ione Chapman Reading Room, Jesse Stuart Room, James Still Room and Roger W. The library features state of the art technology to help you do research and prepare class projects, as well as books, magazines, journals and more. The library staff can help you do research and find needed resources. It also offers quiet study space, collaborative work space, presentation preparation area and a coffee shop. Camden-Carroll Library is much more than books. CCL houses the University’s Archives, Appalachian Collection, James Still Room, Jesse Stuart Room, Patti Bolin Display, Learning Technology Lab, Learning Resource Center, and Java City Coffee Shop.

Here's a sneak peek at our 2 tour guides, in costume, promoting tomorrow's ghost walk!!!

In front of the library, from 4-5:30, enjoy our pre-walk craft of button making and postcard decorating.

Starting around 6PM, our first ghost walk will depart from the Bell Tower! Registrants get first priority (visit the library homepage and click on the event to register).

We hope you all are having a wonderful Homecoming!

For our MSU family (students, faculty, staff, and lovely community members!) who will be on campus next Wednesday, we have our Halloween-themed October Faculty Spotlight with Dr. Annie Adams!

It is at 4PM in the library, on the 2nd floor. We will also have a button making craft after the presentation. Annie loves buttons, and so do we!

WOW!

We can't believe it. 6 days until our inaugural ghost walk!

Remember, the library is decorating some old library postcards with Halloween stickers, and we have a button maker with themed designs, all before the walk, from 4-5:30PM.

The library will also have a post-walk ghost decoration party where we take some pages from old, decommissioned books to add some "spirit" to ole CCL!

We have some wonderful downtown businesses that partnered with us to help make the walk possible, and they are having special drinks and sales to look out for on Tuesday, 10/27!

There's so much fun stuff to do. We can't wait to share this experience with you!

Book Bedazzling went swimmingly, as a proper gentleman or lady would say!
If you missed it, or if your project is incomplete, we have some supplies to extend this program set up in "Outreach Ally" — AKA, the public computer area by circulation.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the literature everyone brought in or chose to decorate. If you're trying to pick your next book, just check out our story today and see what our students are reading! Great stuff.

Find us on the 1st floor, tower side.
We will be decorating books from 5-6:30.
Have a favorite book you want to bling out? Bring it!
We also have a few boxes of books (about 50 books) you can pick from while supplies last 📚

As always, this event is FREE! And it's a gold chip event 😉
