Children's Memorial Flag Day is observed annually to honor children lost to abuse and neglect and to raise awareness about child welfare. Today, we raised the children’s memorial flag and recognized the outstanding contributions of the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department Detective Division, Dr. Amy Gavril, and DHHR worker Olivia Gaines for their dedication to serving children in Monongalia County.

I am extremely proud of the exceptional work that each member of our MDIT does to safeguard and support children in Monongalia county.
