"This year, after eight years of work, we were able to finally put a roof on our teaching building. Our teachers and staff have been working from the ground up without pay to construct this learning facility. Now we have a place where all of our young people have a seat, a bin for their materials, and a roof over our head. It feels so good to have a stable structure for our backpacking adventures and not to come back to wet materials and clothing. This week-long overnight adventure is a formative experience for our young people and continues to serve our young adults as well, who return as teachers and mentors."

On Patriot Day, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders, service members, volunteers, and everyday people who answered the call to help.
