Thank you to everyone who helped out at the Cottonwood Canyon Field Day for students in grades K-5! This year's presenters were OSU Extension, National Resources Conservation Service, Wasco County SWCD, Sherman County Prevention, Sherman County Juvenile Services, Sherman County Sheriff, Sherman County Area Watershed Council, Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, and Cottonwood Canyon State Park. Thank you to Sherman County Education Foundation, Sherman County Cultural Coalition, and Gray Family Foundation for providing funds for this program.

Are you passionate about conservation, agriculture, and protecting water quality in rural Oregon? Do you thrive on a small team where your work truly makes a difference? If so, we’d love to have you join us!
We are the Sherman County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) located in Moro, Oregon. We have a full-time position open for a Watershed Technician.
In this position, you will provide outreach and technical assistance to landowners for programs offered and managed by the Sherman County SWCD and USDA. The Technician provides support for the SWCD on grant submittals and tracking, and project implementation.
