🏇 Seeking Rodeo Flag Runners! 🏇

The 2026 Coos County Fair & Rodeo is looking for enthusiastic riders to help carry sponsor flags during rodeo performances!

📅 Tryouts: July 23rd at 6:00 PM

📅 Rodeo Nights: July 24th & 25th at 6:00 PM

Participants must attend tryouts and be available for both rodeo performances. If you’re ready to represent our sponsors and be part of the rodeo action, we’d love to see you there!

👑🐴 Calling all future rodeo royalty! 🐴👑

The 2026 Stick Horse Queen Competition is coming to the Coos County Fair! Join us on Thursday, July 23rd for an afternoon of fun, confidence-building, and western spirit.

🌟 Ages 4–6
🌟 Open to girls & boys
🌟 Sign-ups begin at 3:30 PM
🌟 Competition starts at 4:00 PM
🌟 Located at the 4-H Horse Barns

Some stick horses will be provided but please bring one if you’d like!

Bring your biggest smile and your best stick horse—we can’t wait to see you there! 🤠💕

Reminder: This winner will get to make appearances at the Rodeo both Friday and Saturday evening! 👑

Wednesday after visiting Myrtle Crest I went down to the fairgrounds to take a look around. It was exciting to see all the work that has been happening down there, to a new eating pavilion, livestock wash racks, all of the arenas being worked, to even power washing the bucking chutes. This place has changed so much in my 22 yrs and I am super excited to see this place full of Laughter and excitement in July. Thank you so much to all who have been working hard down there.

Today I got to join Myrtle Crest Elementary School at their awards assembly. It was so much fun getting to meet these amazing students, and bringing a little bit of magic to their last week of school. I got to talk about our Fair and Rodeo and what it means to me. And about my past growing up with horses. I also got to help draw a lucky name for some tickets and ride bracelets. I remember how cool it was when the rodeo Queen came to visit when I was their age and it made my heart happy seeing them light up when they saw me. Denny also got to have some fun, thanks to my parents Denny came to get some attention and to make this day even more special. I couldn’t have done this without my parents, Jason Wilson and committee behind me. And thank you Myrtle Crest for including me.

Bringing a little bit of Coos to the streets of
Portland
Today Princess Kindley and I got the privilege to be part of the Rose Parade in Portland Oregon. Truly an experience, it was so much fun seeing people light up when they saw us and to be able to ride in the streets of Portland. Got to see many good friends and made new ones. Did you know that all the flowers in the parade are real? Yes, Princess Kindley and I had live flowers for our packs. I want to thank my Parents, the Wilson Family, our committee, and of course our amazing community for everything you guys do for me.
