Spent my 23rd Birthday where I have spent most of them at a Rodeo. And not any Rodeo, at the Umpqua Valley Junior Rodeo; surrounded by some of my Rodeo Family. This weekend I got to help out on some of the events like the PeeWee Dummy Roping and and Peewee Goat tail untying. I also got to participate in the Grand Entry and you probably have realized I wasn’t riding Denny; Miss Sandy got a turn to be a Queens horse. Miss Sandy is 5 years old; and this little girl handled the chaps and not her normal rider like a champ. Thank you to the Schlatter/Berry Family for letting me jump ride her. Thank you to the Henderson family for inviting me and just being there always. I love you all, and thank you to all of you who have been sending me Happy Birthday messages. It truly has been a sweet Birthday. Also shoutout to my father, who traveled with me this weekend and took me to dinner for my birthday ❤️

Dear Coos County
I have dreamed of these moments since I was 6 years old, and it did not disappoint. I am not only representing this fair and rodeo but I am representing my past, every moment that led me to this moment. All of the amazing horse I got to throw a leg over, all the people who stood in my corner; the community who supported me and cheered me on when I was running, rodeoing and 4h. I love this community, I love this rodeo and I love this sport.
Some very special moments for me this week, my stick horse queen; I was the 2009 stick horse queen and having Miss Piper as mine was amazing, we even recreated a photo of Queen Shelby and I with Piper. Saturday night I wore a different buckle, not my queen buckle. I wore the buckle I won on my heart horse 10 years ago that day in the jr barrels. It was the one and only time I ever ran her in my hometown. That mare has now passed and I miss her dearly. Another one was getting to run the court race with my best friend Allie Storts, thank you Allie for running to the trailer to saddle Bits. Watching my absolute stud of a friend/sis Natalie show just how much of a stud she is during the presentation of the Flag. I want to thank everyone who has supported me through this week and this year. I am excited to see where it goes from here.

We couldn’t have asked for a better crowd! Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on the contestants, support our local fair and rodeo, and help create an unforgettable first night. 👏

A special thank you to all of the contestants, volunteers, sponsors, stock contractors, and everyone working behind the scenes to make it all happen. Queen Bailey and Princess Kindley had a wonderful time visiting with everyone and representing Coos County! 👑

🐴🎉 Congratulations to our 2026 Stick Horse Contest Winner, Piper! 🎉🐴

A big round of applause to Piper for taking home this year’s Stick Horse Contest title! 👑 We loved seeing all of the young cowgirls and cowboys show off their speed, smiles, and western spirit.

Don’t miss out at the rodeo Friday and Saturday night, where Piper will make appearances with the queen and princess!

Thank you to every child who came out and participated—you helped make this year’s contest such a fun and memorable event! We also want to thank the families who came out to cheer on our future rodeo stars. 🌟

We can’t wait to do it all again next year. Until then, keep practicing those stick horse skills! 🤠💙
