What a difference a few weeks can make. Can't believe it's been 2 weeks since we celebrated the end of our Summer Reading programs with the Needham Police Department Ice Cream Truck on that beautiful sunny day! Thank you to Officer Scolponeti and fellow officer who joined in the truck for a little bit (sorry we didn't get your name!) for helping out and providing all kinds of fun for our library visitors. There was a bubble machine, music, prizes from the prize wheel, chalk drawing, all kinds of fun stuff. Check out that ice cream box carnage for extra emphasis on how great of an event it was too!

Together you read 533,330 minutes! (or 8888.883 hours) If one person read that much it would take them over a year of nonstop reading!

This summer the school with the most reading per student was Broadmeadow whose active readers averaged over 19 hours of reading.
