The Craig County Sheriff's Office held it's annual HOOKED ON FISHING NOT ON DRUGS, kids fishing day. This event is held each year on the saturday before mother's day. I would like to take the time to personally thank each and every sponsor, as this event is all donation driven. There was a good turnout and the kids had a good time catching fishing. Christmas and the New Year are fast approaching. Please remember to drive the speed limit, fasten your seatbelts and Don't Drink and Drive. The Holidays are a time of celebration with family and friends, so please be safe. In 2024, 595 alcohol related crashes, 12 fatalities and 75 serious injuries occurred in December alone. This marks the highest number of alcohol related crashes during the holiday season (October 2024 - January 2025*). Serious injuries in alcohol related crashes last year decreased by 17% from 2023. *2025 data is preliminary and subject to change. As you can see from reading this post, Don't Drink and Drive, use a designated driver. Don't let friends or family drive drunk. Just remember DRIVE SMART, SAFE AND SOBER!! Sheriff Craddock
