Thank you Community Collaboration of Delaware and Phoenix Family Resource Center De for helping us pull off our Second Annual School Supply Giveaway through our Library on the Loose! program!

With their help and through the help of our generous sponsors Dot Foods, Historic New Castle Hundred Lions Club, and New Castle Community Partnership we were able to give out approximately 120 prefilled backpacks and countless other school supplies!

Second Annual School Supply Giveaway, our final Library on the Loose! program!

When: Saturday, August 15th @ 10 AM

Where: New Castle Public Library (424 Delaware St., New Castle, DE 19720)

Details:
-First come, first served
-While supplies last
-Each child MUST be in attendance to receive school supplies.
-A prefilled backpack will be given to each child.
-Additional school supplies will be available à la carte and are dependent on donations.
-Families will be pulsed into the giveaway space; be prepared to wait in line before entering

Food and hygiene essentials will still be available in the classroom, along with a variety of community partners!

We can't wait to see you on Saturday!

This past Tuesday a brilliant young author named Marley joined us for storytime as a special guest to read his book, "Superfood Mood"! He did a phenomenal job reading his story, which is about a boy who learns to enjoy fruits and vegetables by juicing them, and discovers the superpowers these healthy foods give him! Marley helped our librarian throughout the entire program and signed many of his books for children in attendance. Thank you to all the families who joined us for this very special storytime, and to Marley for sharing his wonderful story with everyone!
