At 4:30am on Sunday May 17th, Tower 18 was special called to assist Wilmington Fire Department on a 2 alarm fire at the Mother African Union Church in the 800 block of North Franklin Street. Initial arriving units found the church and adjoining structures well involved and initiated a defensive attack on the building. Tower 18 arrived and was initially positioned on the back corner of the building to reach fire that other aerials had been unable to reach from their positions. Later, Tower 18 was repositioned and continued to work extinguishing hot spots in coordination with a thermal drone. Tower 18 operated for five hours before returning to service.

For decades, the Good Will Fire Company has provided transport EMS service to the City of New Castle, surrounding communities, and well beyond! Ranging from Cadillacs to Hortons, the Fire Company has always relied on a fleet of ambulances to bring medical care to you in your time of need. As we celebrate EMS Week, we reflect back on our history as one of the original fire department based EMS units. This is more special as we welcome back Ambulance A-18, which was recently rechassised in order to continue to serve our community for many more years.
