🎨🍽️ MUSE Masterpiece: Creating Art That Looks Good Enough to Eat! 🍽️🎨

Our MUSE Masterpiece Learn & Earn participants wrapped up an amazing summer of creativity, hands-on learning, and artistic expression with a trip to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in NYC and the completion of their final project! 🖼️✨

MUSE Masterpiece is one of the New Rochelle Youth Bureau’s Learn & Earn programs, giving young people the opportunity to explore the arts through hands-on, project-based experiences while developing creativity, technical skills, collaboration, and an appreciation for artistic expression.

For their final project, participants put their creativity on full display by creating different foods out of clay, painting and detailing each piece, and arranging their finished creations on a beautiful buffet table! 🍰🥖🍓🍳 Their work showcased the imagination, patience, and artistic skills they developed throughout the program.

The trip to MoMA was the perfect way to cap off their experience, giving our young artists the opportunity to explore incredible works of art and find inspiration in one of New York City’s most renowned museums. 🖼️🎨

A special thank you to our MUSE Masterpiece Program Coordinator, Ms. Imani, for guiding, encouraging, and inspiring our participants throughout the program! Your dedication helped make this experience so meaningful and creative. 💜

We are so proud of everything our MUSE Masterpiece participants created this summer! From learning about art to creating it themselves, they truly turned their creativity into a masterpiece. 👏🏽🎨

🎉 What a way to wrap up an unforgettable summer at Camp NOW! ☀️

Our final week was packed with fun during Spirit Week! ❤️💙

🏈 Jersey Day kicked things off, with campers and staff showing off their favorite teams.
🚒 Touch a Truck brought a special visit from the New Rochelle Police Department!
🎃 Halloween in August had everyone dressing up in their best costumes.
👯 Twin Day brought out some amazing matching looks!
🎤 Lip Sync Battle let our campers show off their dance moves and lip-syncing skills.
🏅 And we ended the week with the Camp Olympics, where the RED TEAM came out on top! 🥇❤️

The Camp NOW Team and the New Rochelle Youth Bureau would like to give a HUGE thank you to all of our campers, families, staff, instructors, and community partners who helped make this summer so special. We hope our campers leave with new friendships, lots of laughter, and unforgettable memories that they’ll carry with them long after camp ends. 💙

🌱🌊 Eco Ambassadors: Learn & Earn! 🌊🌱

Our Eco Ambassadors spent the summer learning, earning, and getting hands-on with environmental science right here in New Rochelle! 🌎💚

Throughout the program, our youth explored the Long Island Sound, learned about marine life and local ecosystems, collected environmental data, and gained hands-on experience with environmental stewardship and restoration. They also had the opportunity to learn about careers in environmental science and connect their learning to real-world experiences. 🦪🌊🔬

A very special thank you to Carmen and Jonathan, our incredible program coordinators, for their time, knowledge, and dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences for our youth. 💚

And a huge thank you to all of our partners and everyone who helped make this program possible! Your support and collaboration gave our young people the opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference in their community. 🌿✨

As we wrap up another successful SYEP season, we’re celebrating the hands-on experiences our youth gained right here in our community! 💼✨

From preparing food and drinks and serving customers at Cafe Haven and R Patisserie & Tea Boutique, to preparing bubble tea and learning customer service at Coco Bubble Tea, supporting families at We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym, and gaining valuable workplace experience at the New Rochelle YMCA, our youth built skills in communication, teamwork, responsibility, and professionalism.

A huge thank you to all of our local business and community partners who welcomed our youth this summer and provided meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and prepare for their futures. We couldn’t do it without you! 💙👏

POV: You work at a summer camp and count campers all day!

Our dedicated camp counselors, instructors, and directors are constantly counting, checking, and double-checking to make sure every camper is safe, accounted for, and having a great summer! ☀️💙

Because at camp, you can never count too many times! 😂
