Pergolas may look similar in photos, but the construction details behind them matter more than most homeowners realize.

Things like proper post and beam sizing, steel hardware, screwed (never nailed), priming, caulking, and finished edges all play a role in how a structure holds up over time.

We build our pergolas with longevity in mind, not just how they look on install day.

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that not every backyard transformation happens all at once — and honestly, it doesn’t need to.

Sometimes families tackle projects in phases because of budget. Sometimes life changes. Kids get older, entertaining becomes more important, or homeowners realize how they actually want to use their space after living in it for a while.

That was exactly the case with this project.

Fine… more like day 24.
But “day 24 vs. day done” doesn’t exactly have the same ring to it.

This backyard started as a blank slate and turned into a fully functional outdoor space built for everyday living and entertaining. Custom pergola, outdoor kitchen, fire feature, pavers, lighting, landscaping… all designed to feel cohesive with the home and actually get used year-round.

One of our favorite parts of projects like this is watching a client’s vision go from rough ideas and inspiration photos to something real they get to enjoy every single day. Big transformation on this one and our crew absolutely crushed it. 🙌🏼
