At Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley, we do more than provide shelter. We work to prevent homelessness before it happens through rental assistance, case management, food and essential supplies, interim housing, workshops, and resources that help families regain stability.

For most of us, a hot day means turning up the A/C and grabbing a cold drink. But for a child experiencing homelessness, where do you go to escape the heat?

Children can dehydrate more quickly than adults and are especially vulnerable to heat-related illness. Add the stress and instability of homelessness, and the summer months can become even more difficult.
At Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley, a safe place to stay means more than a bed. It means air conditioning, cold water, nutritious food, a safe night's sleep, and the stability children need to simply be kids.
