The Newmarket School Board meets Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 5:15 PM at the JSHS Library. The agenda includes:

- 2026-27 NES & JSHS Student Handbooks
- School District Goals
- Policy JICK discussion and vote
- Budget development timeline
- Tax Cap vote discussion
- Debrief of the Joint Town Council and School Board meeting
- Updated CIP Plan

Key dates include the First Day of School on August 27, Kindergarten and 1st Grade Open Houses on August 26, and 6th and 9th Grade Orientations on the same day.

Join the Newmarket Planning Board for its regular August 11, 2026 meeting.

Agenda Highlights:

- Minutes Review: Approval of the minutes from the July 14, 2026 meeting.
- Site Plan Public Hearing: A minor site plan application from RKJ 37 Exeter LLC is being reviewed. The applicant proposes to demolish an existing single-family dwelling at 37 Exeter Road and replace it with a three-unit townhouse. The townhouse will include a paved driveway, retaining walls, an on-site rain garden, and a vegetative buffer near the on-site stream. The applicant has requested a continuance to the September 8, 2026 meeting.
- Master Plan Public Hearing: The Board will review and consider adopting a comprehensive new Town Master Plan. The plan covers 11 chapters, including Vision, Land Use, Housing, Economic Development, Transportation, Recreation, and more.
