On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we honor the contributions and sacrifices made by military spouses. America’s military spouses are the backbone of the families who support our troops during mission, deployment, reintegration and reset. Military spouses are unsung heroes who are essential to the strength of our nation, and they serve our country just like their loved ones. We thank them today and everyday for their sacrifice and service.

Are you feeling anxious or stressed? Take a minute and practice a calming breathing exercise: take a deep breath in while mentally counting to four; hold your breath for a count to four; breathe out while mentally counting to six.

TEAMS – VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS FOR MILITARY SPOUSES (Hosted by DOL)

Transition Employment Assistance for Military Spouses and Caregivers (TEAMS) is a series of Department of Labor (DOL) employment workshops that extend the Department’s Transition Assistance Program to assist military spouses and caregivers as they plan and prepare for their job search in pursuit of their employment goals. All TEAMS workshops are instructor-led virtual training, provided at a variety of times, to meet the needs of individuals stationed throughout the world.

TEAMS workshops are stand-alone training modules. You can take all of the workshops or just a few and they can be taken in any order that fits your availability and schedule.

If you have any questions about employment or transition resources, please contact our Family Employment and Transition Program Manager, Ms. Fran Sokal at [email protected].

The installation is currently experiencing a telephone service outage for all incoming and outgoing calls at NAVSTA Newport. DSN lines remain operational. In case of emergency, please dial (401) 841-2226, instead of using 911 from installation landlines. Cell phone users may still use 911 for reporting emergencies.
