NCHS Families - we are so excited to begin our second week of school! All students' schedules should have been adjusted, so we can get into a regular routine now. We will start every day this week with first period, which also means that RDS time will have students returning to first period classrooms by 10:40. 🏆 HISTORY MADE AT NCHS! 🏆

Last night at our Football Home Opener, we had the honor of recognizing Nola Walker for her historic state championship run! 👩🏽‍🫯‍👩🏼✨👺

During her junior year last season, Nola dominated the competition finishing with an incredible 44-2 record and pinning every single opponent at the state tournament! Last night, she was officially presented with her championship ring for becoming the NCHSAA 1A-4A Women’s Wrestling 145lb State Champion… the first ever in Newton Conover history! 💍🥇

We are so incredibly proud of Nola and our amazing wrestling coaches: Coach Shuffler, Murray, and Hofer!

What a great week of Freshman Orientation at Newton-Conover High School! Our newest Red Devils spent time getting familiar with their new school, learning what it means to be part of the NCHS community, and preparing for an exciting year ahead.

Our Freshmen:
📚 Took a tour of the school and learned their way around
📋 Learned about important school policies, procedures, and expectations
🗓️ Received their class schedules
❤️ Started building connections with their new school community
