PERFORMERS: Dance groups, musicians, storytellers and magicians? We have a stage for you! Today, Friday, June 12th is the sign-up deadline!

Sign up to perform at the Midnight Sun Craft and Music Fair next Thursday, June 18. A cruise ship will be in port bringing visitors to town. Crafters/vendors are gathering at the Mini Convention Center, and the stage is YOURS!

Avian Influenza UPDATE - Confirmed in region in 2026

Please note cases of Avian Influenza have been confirmed in wildlife this year, 2026, including in a mink, common eider, and red fox. Please be on alert for strange behavior and signs, and do not handle sick wildlife.

Please report sick/strange/dead wildlife at [email protected] or 907-434-1149. If you harvest an animal impacted by Avian Influenza you can heat the food to 165 and destroy the virus, but it's best to not handle potentially infected wildlife.
