It’s officially “Locals’ Summer” and we’re stepping back into art history. 🎨 Did you know the face on the $1 bill was painted by someone born right here in North Kingstown? Exploring the gorgeous grounds, working mills, and colonial history at the Gilbert Stuart Birthplace and Museum just south of Wickford Village. If you’ve never been, it’s the perfect time for a quiet, late-season visit!

Some very SWEET news! North Kingstown family-owned and run Seacoast Sweets is absolutely thrilled to be open right here in their hometown, sharing the sweets we all love with the neighbors they love even more! Sink your teeth into their handmade chocolate patties
—peppermint, coconut, s'mores, and peanut butter, all crafted on-site-then fill a bag with Swedish-style pick-n-mix, bursting with chewy, fruity, tangy goodness.
And don't forget the penny candy-a sweet little trip down memory lane waiting just for you!

We LOVE OUR TOWN and are so excited for the Town Of North Kingstown’s Third Annual Family Day Celebration at Wilson Park happening Saturday August 29th from 12-5PM!
Here’s everything you need to know from the North Kingstown Recreation:
* Parking Shuttles are available from three off-site parking lots. Bus Routes (see included picture) will start at 12PM continue through the duration of the event to return attendees to their vehicles.

* Off-site parking and shuttles have been arranged because parking on-site at Wilson Park will be extremely limited - please plan to park elsewhere, minding "No Parking" and other directional signage!

* NEW this year, there will be a BACKYARD BATTLE GAMES station featuring age level groupings and friendly competitions against the clock in a water balloon toss, spoon & egg race, and potato sack race. Pre-registration is REQUIRED to compete -- either fill out your intent to participate on our online form, or visit the Information Booth at the event to sign up: https://bit.ly/familydayracesignup

Sending out a big applause to George Brennan and everyone at Historic North Kingstown for hosting a super successful Trivia Night Fundraiser at Carriage Inn.
The questions really got us thinking about NK’s past and had us appreciating our hometown even more. We’re so lucky to live and work here surrounded by so much history, Narragansett Bay, wonderful small businesses, EIGHT villages (can you name them all??) and truly fantastic neighbors.
Great food, great crowd and great prizes. Hats off to the board and volunteers of HNK. You did a stellar job and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
