ADULT DOUBLES TENNIS LEAGUE REGISTRATIONS OPEN TODAY

The Recreation Division will be opening opportunities for individuals to register on a weekly basis to participate in a Doubles Tennis League. This week, registration is open for night number one taking place on Wednesday, June 24.

THIS LEAGUE IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS, This is an intermediate level with experience required. (3.0-4.0 USTA level).

The league runs Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm @ NKHS. The duration of the League is June 24th - August 19th but participants may register for one night weekly.

PLEASE BE SURE TO FOLOW THE DIRECTIONS OUTLINED IN THE DESCRIPTION WHEN REGISTERING. Any questions regarding he league itself may be directed to Tracy Miller at [email protected]

SOFTBALL'S SEASON COMING TO A CLOSE WITH A GREAT FRIENDS ON THE FIELD EVENT.

The heat did not damper the fun had at Ryan Park tonight with the Friends on the Field event as the NK Recreation Softball season draws closer to the end. Created and executed by AA Coach Cait Wotherspoon along with other coaches and volunteers, there were many smiles to be had for tonight's event.

Players were treated to a carnival-style atmosphere with games, awards, team photos, food and fun.

A fantastic close to a great season! We look forward to the final games taking place over the weekend as well as the 10U team who will be participating in the All-Star game at the end of the month.

And though it has been stated on a regular basis, there really are not enough words to thank all of the coaches, volunteers and sponsors for their efforts who made for a successful season! Thank you!

NK RECREATION DIVISION UPDATE – WEEK of JUNE 7

The North Kingstown extends its congratulations to the many who are celebrating their high school and college graduations! We wish you all the best in the future. We also recognize some of our programs that have come to an end after a long season including our volleyball and adult basketball programs, though our adult basketball will hold a mini summer program before returning in September.

The NK Recreation Softball League will also be wrapping up their Spring season in the upcoming week. See the attachments for details about the Friends on the Field event happening on Friday night as well as the graduating 10U class that will go on to represent North Kingstown in the All-Star Team!! Congratulations to all who participated and best wishes to that All-Star Team!

THE NK REC DEPT WAS SO HAPPY TO BE "SERVED" UP THIS GREAT PHOTO OF THE MONDAY NIGHT VOLLEYBALL CREW WHO WRAPPED THINGS UP LAST NIGHT!

THIS FUN GROUP COMES TOGETHER EVERY MONDAY NIGHT FROM SEPTEMBER THOUGH JUNE AND WILL TAKE A LITTLE TIME OFF BEFORE RETURNING IN THE FALL.

Well June....here we are! Let the North Kingstown Recreation Department bring a sonic boom to your summer!

A number of class registrations are currently open for the summer including:

New class offering to the Introduction to Youth Ballet
Tumbling
Making Comic Books with James Russo starts this Thursday
Indoor Adult basketball for ages 30 + this summer
Girls Summer Basketball clinic for ages 5 – 8
Girls Field Hockey classes are filling quickly and registration will be closing soon!
Registrations for outdoor Yoga on NK beach and indoor at the Community Center in June, close this week
Racquets are swinging in North Kingstown!
Pickleball clinics for children and leagues for adults
Tennis clinics for adult sand children, ages 5 – 14 years
