Two days out, Strand: the big kites are coming back to Cherry Grove. 🪁
Saturday and Sunday, Oct 24–25, the 9th Annual Grand Strand Kite Festival takes over The Point, 11 AM to 4 PM both days. We're talking kites the size of cars (whales, octopuses, sea turtles) hanging over the inlet while the pros put on a show and anybody with a kite of their own joins in.
MBU's local advice: roll in early. Parking near The Point may be limited, and the best sand goes fast once those giants go up. Bring the chairs, the sunscreen, and somebody who still looks up.
Admission's free. Who's in your crew that's never seen a kite bigger than their truck?
