We're almost ready to celebrate!

The Town of Nutter Fort is preparing to break ground on construction of our ongoing AMD Stormwater Phase II project. As one of the first projects in the state to be funded through an intergovernmental transfer from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection's Abandoned Mine Lands program, we have a lot to celebrate in seeing this project move forward.

With that in mind, we are planning to hold a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off construction in the coming weeks. The project is currently in the bidding process, so a date has not been solidified at this time, but we anticipate this ceremony will take place between October 26 and October 30, 2026.

We hope to have you join us to recognize the importance of this milestone!

NOTICE: Ohio Avenue Basketball Courts & Town Hall Parking Lot Closure

The Ohio Avenue basketball courts and Town Hall parking lot will be closed until Monday, (8/31/2026), due to scheduled resealing work.

The closure is necessary to allow the sealant to properly cure and to help ensure the new surface is durable and long-lasting.

Please do not park in the Town Hall parking lot or use the Ohio Avenue basketball courts while the work is being completed.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve and maintain these community facilities!
