City hall will be closed on Monday, May 25th, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. Garbage services will not be affected. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend.

📢 Election Day Closure Notice 📢
City Hall will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Regular business hours will resume on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
🇺🇸 Voting will take place in council chambers
🇺🇸 Please note that trash and recycling collections will remain on a NORMAL schedule all week.
We encourage all eligible residents to get out and vote and make your voice heard!

UPDATE: AS OF 2:00 PM THE WATER BREAK HAS BEEN FIXED AND ALL LINES HAVE BEEN PURGED. CUSTOMERS MAY EXPERIENCE SOME AIR IN THE LINES. IF YOU ARE STILL EXPERIENCING NO WATER AT ALL, PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE.

Public works is working on a massive break on an old line in the system. Residents will experience low to no water pressure. They were hoping it would be a quick fix, but it should be resolved within a few hours. The break was bigger than anticipated. Areas affected include Montana, upper Elk Avenue, Norman, Powell, Blair, and N 5th Street- on that hillside. We will post updates as soon as they are available. At this time, there is no boil water advisory.

Residents on Water Street, Plainwood and Hazelwood Avenue may experience low water pressure while public works is replacing a fire hydrant and flushing lines. Should you experience no water, please call the office and let us know.

City Hall will be closing at 3:00 PM today Wednesday March 25th, 2025. Calls will be answered on the forwarding system until 4:00 PM. There is a drop box on the side of the building for your payments as well. We apologize for the inconvenience and will resume normal hours 8:00 AM through 4:00 PM Thursday and Friday. Thank you for your understanding.

UPDATE: 10:41 The website is back up.

The website is currently down. We are working to get it back up. In the mean time, if you need to make a payment on your water bill, you have the option to call in and make a payment over the phone. The fee will be the same as it is on the website. You can always come in person to pay or drop your payment in the box on the side of the building as well. Thank you for your understanding and we will update you as soon as the website is back up.

The staff participated in CPR and first aid training held at the Stonewood Volunteer Fire Department. The training was taught by Walter Knight, first aid and CPR instructor, who also serves as a fire fighter for Stonewood. We learned valuable skills in administering CPR and first aid to better serve our public.
