Penn Elementary parents: Thank you to everyone following procedures for drop off and pick up!

Just a few reminders!
🚦you must turn right when pulling out of the parking lot in the mornings and in the afternoons
🚦if you'd like to walk your child up in the morning to the back door, you need to park in the car wash area or on the southside near the car wash and walk them over to the gate. The two rows closest to the building are for teachers only. We are having multiple parents park and it is not allowing our teachers to be able to pull in.
🚦if you see an orange cone, like the one in the picture below do not move it. It is there for a reason! 
🚦You can not be on your phone, or you will be asked to get out of line and go inside for pickup after 3:30. This is to keep our students safe at all times!
🚦 you must get in the lane going southbound to pull into the parking lot for a drop off in the mornings. You cannot cut across traffic to pull into our parking lot.

¡Aquí tienen algunos recordatorios!
🚦 Deben girar a la derecha al salir del estacionamiento, tanto por la mañana como por la tarde.
🚦 Si desean acompañar a su hijo caminando hasta la puerta trasera por la mañana, deben estacionarse en el área del lavado de autos (car wash) o en el lado sur, cerca de dicha área, y llevarlo caminando hasta la puerta de acceso. Las dos filas más cercanas al edificio son exclusivas para los maestros. Varios padres se están estacionando allí, lo que impide que nuestros maestros puedan entrar con sus vehículos.
🚦 Si ven un cono naranja, como el de la foto de abajo, no lo muevan. ¡Está ahí por una razón!
🚦 No pueden usar el teléfono celular; de lo contrario, se les pedirá que salgan de la fila y pasen a recoger a su hijo al interior de la escuela después de las 3:30 p. m. ¡Esto es para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes en todo momento!
🚦 Deben colocarse en el carril que va hacia el sur para entrar al estacionamiento y dejar a los alumnos por la mañana. No pueden cruzar el tráfico para entrar a nuestro estacionamiento.

Just a reminder, parents… There is no casual dress today! Students must be in uniform. We will make an announcement on Facebook and ClassDojo when that begins.

🍎Tomorrow our second and third graders will take their reading MAP test! We will begin first thing in the morning, so please make sure your student gets a good night sleep, yummy and filling breakfast and is at school on time.

🍎Also a reminder the uniform policy at both buildings... the students must be in the SFS white black or yellow polo with denim khaki or black bottoms. We will begin calling parents to bring additional clothing if students are out of uniform.

🍎We kick off Beginning of Year MAP testing with our 4th and 5th graders tomorrow first thing! Please make sure your 4th/5th grader has had a good night sleep, a good breakfast and is at school on time to be able to get situated before their test!

🍎 2nd and 3rd will test Wednesday! And second grade will finish up on Thursday morning.

🍎 ¡Mañana a primera hora comenzamos las pruebas MAP de inicio de año con los alumnos de 4.º y 5.º grado! Por favor, asegúrese de que su hijo(a) de 4.º o 5.º grado haya dormido bien, haya desayunado adecuadamente y llegue a la escuela a tiempo para acomodarse antes de la prueba.

🍎 ¡Los alumnos de 2.º y 3.º grado realizarán la prueba el miércoles! Y el segundo grado terminará el jueves por la mañana.

Just a couple of notes to remember!

🍎The front doors are not open for drop off until 7:45 (Tues-Fri) which means they are late at that time. Morning drop off back door opens at 7:10. If you want to walk your student up, you must walk around the south side of the building with them and walk them to the back door if you do not want to wait in the car line. 
🍎Breakfast stops being served at 7:30.
🍎At dismissal, please pull all the way forward and follow traffic as directed. Also do not honk and call your student over. This is a safety issue.

Best team ever!
We had a great day with our Saints! Please remember casual dress and student store have NOT started yet. We will make this announcement when that time has come. All students need to be in uniform tomorrow. We'll see you at 7:35.!
