Nothing beats lunch on the first day of school!

Superintendent Dr. Jamie Polk wrapped up the morning by visiting the new, bond-funded Capitol Hill High School, where she joined scholars for lunch and celebrated an exciting start to the school year.

It's an exciting time for OKCPS as students begin learning in spaces designed to support their success. Welcome back, scholars!

What a special way to start the school year!

This morning, Superintendent Dr. Jamie Polk welcomed students and families to the brand-new, bond-funded Adelaide Lee Elementary School for the first day of class.

Seeing scholars walk through the doors of this beautiful new learning space is a reminder of what's possible when our community invests in the future of OKCPS. Here's to a year of learning, growth and success!

Before the sun came up, the OKCPS transportation team was already hard at work, safely delivering thousands of scholars to their first day of school.
