🎮 The Epic Esports team is excited to kick off another school year!
As we prepare for the upcoming season, we have several announcements and opportunities for students who are interested in competitive esports, our esports elective course, and casual gaming.
🎮 Varsity Esports Tryouts: High School Students Only
Varsity team tryouts will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Aug. 24-26. Valorant and Overwatch 2 are spring and second-semester titles, but we will have tryouts now. There may be a possibility for Overwatch 2 LANS (in-person events this fall). Please note that our varsity esports teams are open only to high school students.
We plan to hold tryouts for the following titles:
🎮 Valorant (PC only)
🎮 Marvel Rivals
🎮 Overwatch 2
🎮 Rocket League
🎮 Fortnite
Deadlock may also be offered if we receive enough student interest.

Again, varsity esports teams and tryouts are for high school students only.
We also have a Super Smash Bros. team, as well as individual titles such as Madden, Mario Kart, Street Fighter, and Tekken, and we are looking for students interested in competing! Super Smash Bros is in person once a month and the other two titles are online. If you are interested in this title, please email [email protected]
🕹️ Esports Elective Course
In addition to our competitive teams, Epic offers an esports elective course for high school students. Our high school students can earn elective credit for this course if they need it. The course is an elective. There is no fee to enroll in this course or to be a part of our esports team.
Our program is about much more than gaming. We hold our students to a high standard and firmly believe that education comes first. Our goal is to help students grow not only as players but also as people by developing skills such as teamwork, communication, responsibility, leadership and sportsmanship.
👾 Epic Games Club
For students who enjoy gaming but aren't looking for a highly competitive environment, we also offer the Epic Games Club!
Games Club is a great opportunity for students to meet other Epic students their age, make new friends, and enjoy gaming together in a fun environment.
Games currently played in the Games Club include:
🎮 Fortnite.
🎮 Rocket League.
🎮 Mario Kart.
