OPL’s Meet Our Staff series continues with Andrew, our
Librarian III. Here are some fun facts shared with us:

1. What is your current staff pick that you’d recommend checking out?

Anything by Ursula K. Le Guin is always my go-to, as she has something for everyone, but right now it'd have to be The Buffalo Hunter Hunter, by Stephen Graham Jones, for a great spooky season read.

2. What’s a library service you love recommending to patrons and why?
CloudLibrary and the Palace Project are some of my favorite library services, as I love listening to audiobooks while driving, running, or doing chores.

3. What is your favorite old or new spot in Orange and why?
The Bookman! A lovely used bookstore with a great selection and prices.

4. Coffee or tea? What’s your favorite way to drink it?
If I had to pick just one, it'd be coffee (black) as I wake up with it every morning, but I absolutely love a good cup of tea as well.

5. What is your favorite part about working at the Orange Public Library?
Meeting all of the staff here has been fantastic, and I also love how connected to the community the library is with the Pop Up Library.

OPL’s Meet Our Staff series continues with Darling, our Librarian II. Here are some fun facts shared with us:

1. What is your current staff pick that you’d recommend checking out?
Swordheart by the always wonderful T. Kingfisher! If you love the Princess Bride, then you’ll love this book. It has a unique premise, but it is a very sweet romance. Halla, a widow, discovers the magical sword she inherited from her late husband has a swordsman inside it sworn to protect her. The book is filled with quirky characters, witty banter, and a sweet slow-burn romance.

2. What’s a library service you love recommending to patrons and why?
I love recommending kits to people. They always come with a good selection of books and extra goodies. Some of them are just neat in and of themselves like the sewing kit and the telescope kit! I’m always amazed by the Special Collections that OPL offers.

3. What is your favorite old or new spot in Orange and why?
Old Towne! I love history and I’m sucker for all those historic buildings. It’s always fun hearing about where they filmed in Old Towne.

4. Coffee or tea? What’s your favorite way to drink it?
I’m more of a milk tea person! I love good ube iced milk tea.

5. What is your favorite part about working at the Orange Public Library?
I love the camaraderie and atmosphere among staff members. Everyone’s so sweet and friendly and willing to help one another out. I feel like someone will always have my back if anything happens.
