This morning, UCFPD Officers Smith and Temperato, and Detective Rivera participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Acrisure Bounce House.

They completed the grueling 110 stories that represented the Towers—approximately 2,200 steps—while wearing their full patrol uniforms and heavy duty gear. This feat is nothing compared to the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the first responders who ran toward danger that day. We climb to remember, and we climb to ensure their legacy is never forgotten.

Thank you to UCF Military and Veteran Student Success for inviting us and to everyone who came out to support and honor our nation’s fallen heroes. 💙

Be Scam Smart 💸

Unfortunately, scammers often target college students through emails, texts, phone calls, social media, and fake job offers. Remember, if it sounds too good or too sketchy to be true, it probably is.

Think you've fallen victim to a scam? Report it to UCFPD immediately by calling 407-823-5555.

If something doesn't sound right, slow down, verify the source, and don't share personal or financial information. A few extra seconds can save you a lot of trouble. 🔒

"The UCF Police Department represented the best of what anyone would want in their law enforcement community."

We recently received a kind email from a parent who lives overseas and was concerned about their student's well-being.

Thousands of miles away and unable to reach their Knight, they called UCFPD for help. Dispatcher Robert, Sgt. DeLuca, and our officers provided reassurance, answered questions, and treated the family with compassion and respect during a difficult situation. The student was safe, and the family was grateful for the support they received.

Thank you to Dispatcher Robert, Sgt. DeLuca, and everyone involved for serving with empathy and professionalism every day. And to all of our Knights and their families: if you ever need us, we're here to help.
