Pits open at 4:30 p.m., grandstands at 5:30 p.m., hot laps at 6:10 p.m, and racing begins at 7 p.m. Admission for adults is $15 and kids 18 and younger are free! ๐ฅพ Rice Creek Events: May 16, 11 a.m. Enjoy a guided nature walk at Rice Creek! Rice Creek's naturalists will be your guides as you explore the forests, fields, wetlands, and waterways of Rice Creek Field Station. This walk will be less than one mile and is open to all ages. Accessible options are possible with the brand new Purple Trail! The trail is built to comply with U.S. Forest Service Trail Accessibility Guidelines, making it accessible to many people who use wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, and other mobility devices. To request a guided nature walk on the Purple Trail, please let us know by calling (315) 312-6677 or emailing [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance of the program. ๐จ Art with Coffee: Water Marbling with Theresa Bower: May 16, 10 a.m. โ noon. Come have some fun with water marbling! Water marbling has been around for centuries, used primarily for decorative paper and fabrics. This is an easy, but messy process, where you will float thinned acrylic paint on water thickened with carrageenan (a non-toxic algae used in this process), and lay paper and other objects on the surface to create your designs. In this session, you will marble some sheets of paper, a paper fan, and a wooden flower. Come join the group and see what designs you can create. Note: Due to the space needed for this process, this class will be limited to 8 people. No registration needed. Art Association of Oswego, Inc.., 30 Barbara Donahue Dr., Oswego.
๐ Fulton Speedway: May 16. Kick off Fulton Speedwayโs season with DIRTCar Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, Stock Cars, and Novice Sportsman. Also on tap are the Smash โem, Crash โem Demo Derbies. ๐บ๐ธ Fulton Memorial Day Salute: May 22 - 23. The theme for this year is โTogether we Remember โ 250 Years of Service & Sacrificae.โ The event will feature rides, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, a 5K run, Friday night Watchfire, parade on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. and fireworks to close out the event on Saturday.
