On September 23, 2026, at approximately 7:53 pm, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of 25th Street East and Avenue R-8 within the City of Palmdale.

The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 7:50 pm a 2021 Toyota Corolla driven by a 40-year-old male was driving north in the two-way turn lane of 25th Street East and made a left turn onto Avenue R-8 right in front of a 2024 Toyota Corolla that was driving south in the number one lane of 25th Street East. The 2021 Toyota Corolla broadsided the 2024 Toyota Corolla in the intersection. A 16-year-old female passenger of the 2024 Toyota Corolla was transported to the hospital. On September 25, 2026, Palmdale Sheriff’s Station Traffic Unit was notified by Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center that the 16-year-old female succumbed to her injuries. The additional individuals involved in the crash sustained minor to serious injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the traffic collision is encouraged to call Palmdale Sheriff Station, Detective Carbajal, at 661-272-2400. The investigation is ongoing.

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at approximately 11:18 pm, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on Sierra Highway, just north of Rancho Vista Boulevard within the City of Palmdale.

The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate at approximately 11:15 pm a pedestrian was walking across the southbound lanes of Sierra Highway when an unknown vehicle crashed into the pedestrian. The driver failed to stop and render aid to the pedestrian or contact law enforcement. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene.

On July 13, 2026, Palmdale Sheriff's Station received a report of an armed carjacking at the Chevron Gas Station, located at 37217 47th Street East, in the city of Palmdale. The suspect seen in the video produced a semi-automatic pistol and assaulted two victims, ultimately stealing their vehicle.

The local AV Scanner page got access to the attached video and posted it on their social media page.

Utilizing this video for their investigation, the Palmdale Station Robbery Team was able to serve a search warrant at a home in Palmdale, where they arrested the suspect and recovered the fi***rm used in the crime.

Thanks to the hard work and investigation of our Robbery Team, this dangerous criminal is off the streets. Way to go team!
