At 84 years old, Maria has lived in her Wyckoff home for over 50 years. It’s where she raised her children and built a lifetime of memories.

But after a fall left her shaken, small repairs like a loose railing and a broken step became overwhelming. With no nearby family to help, she feared she might have to leave the home she loves.

That’s where Bergen Volunteers stepped in. Because of support from friends like you, the crew from our CHORE senior services program completed her repairs at no cost.

Today, Maria feels more confident, independent, and secure in her home.
